Foods High in Potassium





The majority of individuals get the potassium that they need just by maintaining a healthy diet that includes foods high in potassium and low in sodium, such as fresh vegetables and fruit.

Occasionally, mineral imbalances occur due to starvation diets, but are most commonly the result of excessive fluid loss because of diarrhea, sweating or using laxatives and diuretics.
